Dear Illuminated Souls,
I have a secret, and this is one I am finally ready to share.
For the past while, in between healing sessions, workshops, and paint-splattered afternoons in my art studio, I have been writing a book. Not just any book ~ it’s a teaching memoir called Vulnerability is a Four Letter Word, and yes, I chose that title on purpose.
Let's be honest. For most of my life, vulnerability might as well have been a curse word. It was the thing I avoided, armored up against, and swore I would never do. Sound familiar? Maybe you have your own four letter words, the ones your wounds taught you to fear.
This book is my story of deep healing, taking the armor off, piece by piece and learning to come out of survival mode to living a life I love to live. It is also a companion for your own journey, filled with the practices, meditations, and healing tools I have created in the healing room over more than two decades of this work. I wrote it from the trail, not the summit, because I believe the most honest guides are the ones still walking beside you.
Inside its pages you will find the messy parts, the sacred parts, and the moments where those two turned out to be the same thing. You will find laughter, because healing without laughter is just work. And you will find an invitation ~ to brave the word your wounds taught you to fear and come home to your truest self.
Vulnerability is a Four Letter Word is currently making its way toward publication in finding a publisher and I cannot wait to place it in your hands. Until then, I will be here doing what I love, holding sacred space, teaching, painting portals, and practicing what I teach, one brave word at a time.
